Course Description

UConn Stamford provides all the benefits of a prestigious public research university in a small college setting. Learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom dare them to achieve more than they ever imagined. UConn Stamford is located in the center of one of the nation’s most robust business communities. In fact, few U.S. cities contain such a concentration of business headquarters. UConn Stamford students gain tremendous access to internships, field placements, and employment with Fortune 500 companies, investment and banking institutions, and community-based organizations. Students can complete 4-year programs in a number of business and social science majors, computer science, or UConn’s multidisciplinary degree in digital media and design.

Why University of Connecticut?

  • Campus: UConn Stamford opened its doors in 1952 and moved downtown in 1998, putting students at the center of a robust business community and energizing city.
  • Facilities: The vibrant campus is a home away from home. UConn Stamford’s modern facilities provide the backdrop for a tight-knit community with plenty of opportunities for involvement and fun. There are 2 brand-new university residences offering safe and comfortable accommodation to students.
  • Culture/city/location: In 2017 National Geographic ranked Stamford number 8 in the top 25 happy cities in the country. Downtown Stamford has vibrant restaurants, nightlife and arts. When students want to visit the big city, New York City is less than a 1-hour train ride away.
