Why CQUniversity - Rockhampton

  • Surroundings and Campus Life: Rockhampton has a resident population of only 60 000 and is compact and easy to get around, but has the businesses and services to supply the region's 180 000 people. Nearby beachside communities at Yeppoon and Emu Park, a short drive away by car or public bus service, are popular with commuters and students. The nearby islands of the Great Barrier Reef and a sub-tropical climate with summer rains and mild sunny winters attract tourists from Europe, Asia and southern Australia.
  • Facilities: The Rockhampton campuses offer students lecture and video conference facilities and an auditorium; Student Support, Financial and Academic Learning Services; trade training workshops; and a campus library with access to an extensive array of online databases.
  • Research Excellence: Research at CQUniversity aims to work with community, industry and end users to understand problems and uncover solutions that are innovative, sustainable and accessible so that everyone can enjoy a better quality of life.
  • Pathway Options: Pathway and alternative entry options are available for students who may not meet the academic admission requirements. These options help make education more accessible and allow students more options when it comes to their studies.
