Course Description

Bournemouth University is an innovative and vibrant public university located in Bournemouth, Dorset, a coastal town famous for its seven-mile stretch of sandy beaches. The town of Bournemouth has a population of roughly 500,000 and is a thriving hub for several industries including the creative, financial, and tourism sectors. Bournemouth University boasts a strong student community with over 19,000 students and more than 2,600 international students. Bournemouth University offers students many innovative and industry-focused programs, with particular strengths in media and communication and technology. Students will benefit from close ties to industry and many of BU's programs offer industry accreditation or placements with over 1,500 industry partners. Talbot Campus is the main campus for Bournemouth University and hosts the main University buildings including the student union and the main library. It has had many recent updates (2017-2018) and is a self-contained campus located on the boundary of Bournemouth and Poole.

Even if you do NOT meet our minimum English requirement (IELTS or TOEFL), you still can get conditionally accepted in the program of your choice with the condition of completing our English program prior to starting your chosen program. The English program is offered through Bournemouth University International College which is located on the University campus

Off-Campus Accommodations

Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own, and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.

HOMESTAY

There are a wide variety of homestay options available, and our partner schools do their best to match students and hosts according to their interests and preferences. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.
Post-Study Work Visa will be open to all students, on Tier 4 visas, who are accepted onto a course in the 2020 intake or later. Once you have successfully completed a course of study at the undergraduate level or above at an approved UK Higher Education Provider you would be able to stay and work (in any sector or at any level) for a maximum of two years. The full details and requirements are yet to be announced by the UK Government, but will be updated here when made available.
