Miami University Regionals are regional, community-based commuter campuses of Miami University, a highly-regarded public university with an international reputation. With affordable tuition and a flexible class schedule, Miami Regionals offers a world-renowned liberal arts foundation with state-of-the-art applied learning. Engineering technology, nursing, and business technology are the longest-running academic degree programs at Miami Regionals. Since opening in the mid-1960s the Regionals have responded to local student and employer needs by adding new courses and programs, combining the convenience of location with class schedules offering multiple options. Today, students may complete over 30 majors entirely at Miami Regionals. The College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science (CLAAS) is an academic division housed entirely at Miami University Regionals and consists of the following 12 academic departments: Biological Sciences, Commerce, Computer and Information Technology, Education and Society, Engineering Technology, Humanities and Creative Arts, Interdisciplinary and Communication Studies, Justice and Community Studies, Languages, Literatures and Writing, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Nursing, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Yet, Miami Regionals' Hamilton and Middletown campuses are compact, friendly, commuter campuses that offers bachelor's degrees, associate degrees, and beginning coursework for most four-year degrees. With an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students Miami University Hamilton is the largest of Miami's regional locations. Hamilton is a city in Butler County, Ohio. Located 20 miles (32 km) north of Cincinnati, Hamilton is the second largest city in the Greater Cincinnati area and the 10th largest city in Ohio. The population was 63,399 as of the 2020 census. The climate of Hamilton, Ohio is continental, characterized by a relatively large range of seasonal variability with cold winters and warm, humid summers. Hamilton, Ohio offers international students a variety of options for entertainment away from their studies. From thirty acres of sculptures at Pyramid Hill, to numerous arts offerings at the Fitton Center, to dozens of public art pieces around Hamilton, the arts are on display every day of the year. For music lovers, over twelve weeks in the summer Hamilton’s RiversEdge Amphitheatre hosts touring bands from around the U.S., and the shows are free. The Butler County Philharmonic also tours around the county with performances year round. For those who are interested in the wide outdoors, Hamilton’s park system contains 50 parks spread across 1,300 beautiful acres in the city. Five of Hamilton’s parks offer residents major picnic areas and splash pads. Miami Regionals other campus is located in Middletown, Ohio. Middletown is a city located in Butler and Warren counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio, about 35 miles (47 km) north of Cincinnati. The population of Middletown as of the 2020 census was 50,987. The climate of Middletown, Ohio is continental, characterized by a relatively large range of seasonal variability with cold winters and warm, humid summers. Middletown, Ohio offers international students a variety of options for entertainment away from their studies. Middletown is home to several top rated attractions including the Ohio Challenge, a summer hot air balloon festival and Light Up Middletown, a winter drive-through light display. Other easy-to-reach attractions in Middletown include but are not limited to: Armbruster Nature Preserve, Broad Street Bash, Bulls Run Nature Sanctuary and Arboretum, Great Miami Riverway, Middletown Pickleball, Veterans Memorial, and Butler County Warbirds.
